I have used the same little name brand toaster I got for my first apartment in the mid 70's. This unit is huge by comparison... but so too is the tasks it can perform and perfecting the many other toasted options of todays cuisine. That makes for a good value and WOW what a difference! I can do more at one time and save a few minutes prep time... enough to enjoy a meal along with everyone else

If my true rating is a 4. I like this toaster enough to round up to a 5. Being I also bought it when it was 'on sale', I notice sometimes I have to toast a little longer beyond the preset settings to actually toast to the level I expect. It does toast evenly. It also can handle slightly larger slices of bread. I'm pleased with this purchase.

The mechanism that held the toast down broke I love that there is a countdown timer that tells me when my toast will be done so I can make sure the rest of my breakfast is done and everything is hot at the same time. My kids love it because it has pictures of what their toast will look like and they can pick from there. Personally, Everything is toasted so well and it works well on a busy morning.

For the most part, seems to be good quality so far. The slots easily fit bagels For regular toast, we didn't find the toast level buttons to be very accurate. Bread typically comes out more toasted than expected based on the pictures, The crumb trays easily pull out so you can clear out crumbs, and the exterior is easy to wipe down.

It's aesthetically pleasing. But I do have issues with our food not toasting even. whatever it is we're making after it pops up the first time to get an even toast on the other side.
