Only a faint textile scent lingered. I opened nearby windows for half day air circulation. and we began using the chair without harsh chemical fumes filling the room.

I've had this chair nearly 6 mos now It was super easy to assemble, and it's fairly comfortable for what we needed it for. My only complaint is that it started squeaking after having it a couple months. now it's both sides and I don't regret having bought it because I didn't expect perfection at this price point, just something I thought I'd mention.
