We had alot of very dark espresso brown furniture in the living room and wanted to lighten it up a bit but not go white or very pale. Most of the other sets that were labelled as White Oak looked kind of white so this medium color is perfect. but also a little wider, than my last set which works perfectly for us. My old set had a 'lip' around the top and is easier to clean. They just took a few minutes to set up.
